Story Time: Three Goats Gruff

Three hungry goats. One rickety bridge. And underneath it, a very grumpy troll.

The old tale from the mountains of Norway, retold for today's little audience. Your child helps each goat trip, trap across the bridge, meets the troll with eyes as big as saucers, and cheers when Big Billy sorts him out.

Tap a goat to help them across!

Grows with your child

  • Little Billy ages 3–4

Short, sing-song lines and big pictures. The troll goes SPLOSH! onto a rubber ring, and comes back to share the grass.

  • Middle Billy ages 5–6

Simple sentences and little help moments. A big splash, then a sheepish troll asks to share, and the goats say yes.

  • Big Billy ages 7–8

Full storybook prose, closest to the old tale. The rushing river sweeps the troll far, far away.

Story Time: Three Little Pigs

Straw, sticks or bricks? Three little pigs set off to build homes of their own, and the big bad wolf comes huffing down the lane.

Your child taps to help each pig build their house, then makes the wolf huff and puff at the brick house, which only wobbles. When he tries the chimney, a pot of water is waiting.

Tap the wolf to make him huff and puff!

Grows with your child

  • Little Pig ages 3–4

One or two short lines a page. The wolf lands in a pot of cold water, says “Brrr!”, says sorry, and stays for soup.

  • Middle Pig ages 5–6

Simple sentences and building help moments. The wolf shoots back up the chimney like a rocket, and never comes back.

  • Big Pig ages 7–8

Full storybook prose, closest to the old tale. A bubbling pot, a howl, and a wolf who's never seen again.

In every Story Time show

Each story is its own production, with its own sets, songs and surprises. But every show comes with the same friendly features, so children (and grown-ups) only learn them once.

Read to me, or read myself

A warm storyteller reads every line, with a different voice for every character. Words light up as they're spoken, and any word can be tapped to hear it again.

A note for grown-ups

  • Pay once, play forever. No adverts and no in-app purchases.
  • A parent gate keeps settings and age bands in grown-up hands.
  • Gentle by design. The troll and the wolf are pantomime villains, never scary, and the endings are chosen to suit each age.
  • Our own words and pictures. Every story is a fresh retelling of a traditional tale, written and painted by us.
  • Coming to phones and tablets, PC and Steam Deck, and games consoles.
